“Swan Lake” by Daniel Cardoso
A modern View of the Classical Story
The day is born on the other side of the walls of the Asylum. Inside, the madness took place of everyday life, and those who live there have forgotten of who they are. The voices and desires are muffled by the walls of this giant silent exile. In the Asylum, the nurses are Master Queens who command the each movement of the patient’s bodies; a woman cleans up the dark wishes of others in the shade; and a man - prisoner of his own body and madness - turns his bird dreams into the bodies of patients.
As a cage where the bird does not dare hit the wings, the Asylum is a cage of people.
The presentation of "Swan Lake" by Quorum Ballet will include the live performance of Orquestra Clássica do Sul.
Coproduction: Quorum Ballet, OCS and TMF, SM
